Job Summary:
The Energy Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of energy management within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of energy systems, engineering principles, and sustainability practices to develop and implement strategies to optimize energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption. The Energy Manager will also provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with energy regulations and drive continuous improvement in energy performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement energy management strategies, goals, and targets to optimize energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption across the organization.
2. Conduct energy audits, analyze energy data, and identify energy-saving opportunities.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement energy conservation initiatives, including equipment upgrades, process improvements, and behavioral change programs.
4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams regarding energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.
5. Monitor and evaluate energy performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous energy performance improvement.
6. Stay up-to-date with energy regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and incorporate innovative approaches into energy management strategies.
7. Prepare reports and presentations on energy performance, savings, and initiatives for management and key stakeholders.
8. Manage and coordinate energy-related projects, including budgeting, project planning, and contractor/vendor selection.
9. Foster strong relationships with external energy stakeholders, such as utility companies, government agencies, and industry organizations.
10. Provide training and guidance to employees on energy management practices and promote a culture of energy conservation within the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience (X years) in energy management, energy engineering, or a related field.
3. In-depth knowledge of energy systems, energy efficiency principles, and sustainability practices.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze energy data and identify energy-saving opportunities.
5. Proficiency in energy modeling and simulation software.
6. Familiarity with energy regulations, codes, and standards.
7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex energy concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
10. Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
